The River Overhang

Designed to capture the tranquil momentum of the adjacent river, this retreat in Bhandardara uses bold geometry to dictate the spatial experience. The architecture acts as a framing device, utilizing a daring 5-meter L-shaped cantilever to draw the eye outward toward the water. The material palette—a strict composition of exposed concrete, warm timber, and earthy textures—anchors the structure, while expansive glazing ensures the living room remains deeply integrated with the lush, riparian environment.
